Marian Rice Players (MRP) is the performing arts company of Marian and Brother Rice High Schools. This group stages a play each fall and a musical each spring in the Marian auditorium. Outstanding performances include not only the talent of the student actors, but the dedication and skills of stage crews, costume committees, lighting staffs, production people, and the many other support groups necessary for producing excellent theater. Membership is open to Marian and Brother Rice students.

Till death do us part takes on an entirely new meaning as the Marian-Rice Players presents Noël Coward’scomedic masterpiece Blithe Spiriton November 20 – 23, 2014 in the Marian High School Auditorium.
In order to observe a spiritualist first-hand for a planned novel, writer Charles Condomine (Brendan O’Leary of Franklin) and his second wife Ruth (Clare Parks of Bloomfield Hills) invite friends, the Bradman’s(Mark Woods of Bloomfield Hills and Stephanie Juriga of Rochester) to dinner and a séance with local clairvoyant Madame Arcati (Kara Callaghan of Bloomfield Hills), whom they are certain is a fake. Chaos and hilarity soon ensue when the ghost of his first wife Elvira (Olivia Lehnertz of Royal Oak) is summoned by mistake and only Charles can see her. When Elvira overstays her welcome, rift ensues between Charles and Ruth. The feuding wives hatch, plot and counter plot to sabotage each other’s and Charles’ existence–but will they succeed?
Leading the production team is Director, Deborah Adams and Producer, Christine Borrello. Les Adams and Noel Montales serve as Set Construction Director and Lighting Designer, respectively. Teresa Pogats lends her talent as the Art Director while Diane Lueck is the Costumer. Student leaders behind the scenes consist of: Set Build: Brigid Johnson of Birmingham; Art Crew: Rachel Fisher of Farmington Hills; Props Crew: Melissa Grembi of Rochester Hills and Ambrielle Stoltz-Bando of Canton; Costumes: Christina Blanek of Sylvan Lake; Make-up Crew: Melanie Roma of South Lyon; Sound: Vincent Belanger of Rochester Hills and Catherine Szkop of Farmington Hills; Lighting Crew: Anthony Gucciardo of Beverly Hills;Production Assistants: Gabby Fix of Beverly Hills and Ambrielle Stoltz-Bando of Canton; Student Director: Grace Barron of Lathrup Village.
Performances on November 20 – 22, 2014 will be held at 7:00 pm; the November 23 performance will be at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens (65 and over) and available online at www. marian-hs.org or by calling 248-644-1750 ext. 1315. All seating is reserved and may also be purchased one hour prior to curtain based on availability.
