The Marian-Rice Players hope you will make plans to see something "extraordinary"
March 27-30 in its spring production of Pippin in the Marian auditorium.
Pippin, a play-within-a-play, begins with a troupe of travelling actors who arrive on an empty stage to present an evening of music, acrobatics, magic, and storytelling. They tell the tale of Pippin, a young man seeking significance and meaning in life. His story is narrated by the Leading Player who, along with the troupe of actors, guides Pippin through twists and turns of self-discovery and doubt. Pippin wants to lead an extraordinary life--but which path to take? When Pippin meets a young widow and her little boy, he begins to consider that there might be value in a simple, ordinary existence, but can that possibly be enough? As Pippin searches for adventure, meaning, and fulfillment in life, which path will he ultimately choose?
Join us for Pippin, featuring lively acrobatic dance numbers and an upbeat musical score that includes well-known songs such as "Corner of the Sky" and "Magic to Do."
Of Special Note: This version of Pippin is produced and directed in such a way as to make it fun for the whole family.
