Clare Meernik ’08 is back on the soccer field
Clare Meernik ’08 scored the only goal in the second game of the ’09 women’s soccer season at Denison University. After graduating from Marian, Clare decided not to play soccer her freshman year at Dennison. Last spring, she attend off-season weight training and soccer practice sessions and was offered a varsity team position. Four years as a Mustang gave her the confidence she need to jump back into college athletics, and Coach Gail Murphy is glad she did!
Jess Stanley scores 4 goals!
An outstanding performance by Jess Stanley (08 grad) who had 4 goals for Michigan in a WDIA National Championship Tournament consolation round game against Cal Poly that Michigan won 10 to 8.
05 Alums earn Catholic League Hall of Fame status!
How about those 05 Grads! The Catholic League recently announced that the league will honor Claire Aubrey, Katherine Johnson and Katie Rashid as Hall of Fame athtetes at their Hall of Fame Banquet on June 8, 2009 at Fern Hill Country Club. Congratulations to these fine Marian grads on their successful college careers.
Brigid Mulroy hits 3 pointer at buzzer to lead UDM to win!
Brigid shot 5/5 from the 3 point line and made the winning shot at the buzzer last night - muchos excitement...

Brigid is now 7th on the U of D list of 3 point shots made. Not bad for only playing the two years.
