Denise Doonan Baier - 1964
Denise is pleased that her daughter Kelly VanEckoute Korpi ’96 gave her family an early Christmas gift by announcing she will be giving birth to their first grandchild in June 2008. With the purchase of a new house in Florida, where Kelly and husband Cory live, Denise can’t wait until the new grandchild arrives. |

Peggy Conklin Prawdzik - 1965
Peggy and her husband moved to North Carolina in 1996. Her husband retired four years ago, and Peggy still works the occasional part time retail job. Their elder son Kevin, a junior in college, is studying in Japan this year, while their younger son is a high school sophomore. North Carolina is pretty, Peggy says, but she is still a Michigander at heart. |

Diane Baran Southen - 1967
Diane moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains last year. Loving the beautiful surroundings, she has set up her art studio at home. One of Diane’s drawings won first place and best of show awards at the Council for the Arts exhibit where she sold the drawing on opening night. Diane has illustrated for magazines and card companies; she is now working with a published author. |

Mary (Terry) Olivier Nafisi - 1968
Mary (Terry) was selected as the 2008 Alumnus of the Year by the College of Social Science at Michigan State University. She received her award at commencement in the Breslin Center before an estimated crowd of 15,000 and made brief remarks to the graduates. Terry was selected for this honor because she helped develop a new curriculum in court administration, which MSU is now offering as a certificate program and a bachelor’s degree. Terry, who lives in California, is now working on developing a master’s degree program in court administration for MSU.

Alice Buckley Dawda and Cheryl Culver Schultz - 1970
Alice and Cheryl have become quite the sports enthusiasts. Both are advanced skiers. Cheryl is also a scratch golfer in the women's league at Plum Hollow Country Club, and Alice is an avid equestrian, participating in hunter/jumper events at the Bloomfield Open Hunt Club and other local horse shows. Cheryl is a physicist at Beaumont Hospital, and Alice is an attorney and Assistant General Counsel for Sears Holdings Corporation. Cheryl and Alice each live with their husbands in Bloomfield Hills. |
