A Typical Freshman Schedule
A typical freshman schedule includes the following:
- English
- Mathematics
- World History
- Modern Language
- Biology
- Theology
- Additional Course(s) or Study Hall
Christian Scriptures and Understanding Catholic Christianity are semester theology courses.
Biology, English, mathematics, modern language, and world history are full-year courses.
Mathematics and Modern Language Placement
If a student is presently taking Algebra I and believes she has the background to go on to
Honors Geometry as a freshman, she must take the Math Placement Test in May to determine
her math placement for ninth grade. If a student has taken the first year of a language in eighth
grade and wishes to take a second year of that language in ninth grade, she must take a placement
test in May to determine which class she should enter.
Placement in Honors Courses
Placement in honors courses is based primarily on placement test scores and recommendations
of eighth grade teachers.

A freshman may choose from the following additional courses to fill her schedule.
