| Student Retreats
Each class has a retreat experience during the school year.
- Freshmen start their first year with a day planned to help them to know one another and the Marian community and traditions. The second semester begins with another retreat day which continues our discernment of God's plan for each of us. We are called into a relationship with God through our daily prayer life. We discover our special gifts and use them in service to others.
- Sophomores take a one-day break from school work and spend a day looking at themselves and their relationships with God and others. A reflection day provides us the opportunity to discover the obstacles we have that hinder a deeper relationship with God. The gifts of the Holy Spirit empower us to take off our masks and be trusting that God is directing our life's journey.
- Juniors spend a day in the community serving others. We discover that we need to see others with eyes of discipleship. Our acts of charity lead us to actions of justice. The Beatitudes become our directions for living and making a difference in the community.
- Seniors are offered an overnight retreat to focus on the transition to life after Marian. In the sacramental moments of daily living with family and friends, God's deep love is revealed to us and empowers us with confidence to face life's challenges .
- Upperclass students have the option of additional retreat experiences. These are contemplative retreats offering extended meditative prayer and quiet . The Marian Retreat Program, called "Telios" , is designed to be a four year spiritual developmental opportunity that leads each student to seek to become the whole complete person that God created her to be.
