  • Q Could you tell me more about the uniforms at Marian?

    At Marian, we believe uniforms set an atmosphere and tone for education. Marian’s uniform regulations are intended to promote self-respect in the area of dress and personal grooming, as well as respect for others.

    Fridays are spirit days. Students may wear an imprinted Marian shirt, fleece or sweatshirt and tennis shoes with the uniform socks and skirt. 
  • Q What transportation options are available?

    Each morning, students from 41 communities spanning six counties commute to Marian. Bus service is available to students living within the Birmingham school district, and limited bus service to the Rochester area is also available through Brother Rice High School for a fee.     Carpooling is a common mode of transportation. Each May, Marian and Brother Rice develop a carpool directory to be shared among both school communities.

    Marian is also open before and after school hours to accommodate early arrivals and late departures.
