In preparation for college, the Guidance counselors work with each student to develop and review annually a strong academic four year plan. Time is spent discussing her future career goals and interests. Beginning with the initial fall meeting in freshman year, the focus is to help students develop a strong profile in preparation for submitting college applications. In preparation for ACT and SAT tests, recommended for spring of junior year, Marian freshmen gain test-taking experience by taking the Explore test. In their sophomore and junior years, additional standardized testing is done to further prepare students for college application testing.
Parent meetings provide information from Marian guidance professionals and college admission representatives about the college search and application process.
