This past Saturday, eleven members of the Marian Forensics Team participated in the Detroit Catholic Forensic League’s national qualifier tournament at St. Mary’s Preparatory. To qualify, students had to compete in the same category at two separate events and place in the top six at least once. Congratulations to Gina Azar, Catalina Colangelo van Meek, Mary Frangie, Jenell Gallozi, Grace Gappy, Madelyn Hasani, Isabella Mansour, Kaitlyn Merritt, Molly Rudnick, Zellie Sarafa, and Fernanda Segura for their impressive performances in Dramatic Performance, Extemporaneous Speaking, Oral Interpretation of Literature, Oratorical Declamation, and Original Oratory. The team earned five top-four medals, including one first-place, two second-place, one third-place, and one fourth-place, along with a fifth-place alternate ribbon. As a result, five Marian entries will be advancing to the national competition in Chicago, Illinois, over Memorial Day weekend. Great job, Mustangs! We are incredibly proud of you!
