Students Donate Hundreds of Items to Partner Organizations this Christmas

In a heartwarming display of generosity and community spirit, Marian’s Project Care orchestrated its annual school-wide initiative to rally support for organizations dedicated to serving the needs of others. The beneficiaries included the Nativity of Our Lord Food Pantry, Angels’ Place, the Ladies of Charity, and St. Christine’s Food Pantry.

Amidst the festive ambiance of Advent-themed Christmas trees, parents and students poured their support, resulting in hundreds of donated items. "The generosity of the Marian community knows no bounds in making a tangible impact on our local community," said Director of Campus Ministry and Service Mr. Mike Hickey.

The Class of 2026 channeled their support towards the Nativity of Our Lord Food Pantry in Detroit, ensuring that their contributions would directly benefit the local community. The Class of 2025 dedicated their efforts to assisting Angels’ Place, focusing on providing essential paper supplies and cleaning items. The Class of 2024 extended a helping hand to teenage girls through a thoughtful donation of gloves, hats, mittens, and scarves for the Ladies of Charity Christmas Program. Lastly, the Class of 2023 directed their charitable endeavors towards St. Christine’s Food Pantry in Detroit, concentrating on supplying non-perishable food items.

The culmination of these collective efforts resulted in the  distribution of the donated items to their respective organizations just in time for the holidays. Thank you to all who participated, making a positive impact in the lives of our partner organizations this Christmas!
