Known by Name: Hear from Marian's Counselors

Twenty-one Marian students reached a new milestone in their Spanish studies as the newest members of the Isabel Allende Chapter of the Spanish Honor Society.

Marian's German Honor Society welcomed five new members with an induction ceremony featuring traditional candle lightig, the society oath, and a celebration with German foods.

Field Day brought Marian's classes head to head in a full day of games, cheers, dances, costumes, and competition, with alumnae and parents joining in the fun. The Senior Surfers rode their wave to first place, capping off one of Marian's most beloved traditions.

At Marian, students have people in their corner throughout their high school journey. Our counseling team is an important part of that support, helping students navigate academics, plan for what comes next, and work through the challenges that are simply part of being a teenager.

For Marian students, Senior Football is a tradition they look forward to from the day they first walk through the doors as freshmen. On Saturday, Marian and Regina took the field at Lawrence Tech for the 45th matchup between the two schools.

Marian student leaders gathered on Sept. 8 for the school’s annual Leadership Day, a day focused on building leadership skills and putting them into practice.

Marian student-athletes joined students from across the Detroit Catholic High School League on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Detroit for a special Mass marking the start of the league’s centennial celebration.

The Marian Rice Collective kicked off a new school year with its first meeting, bringing students from Marian and Brother Rice together to reconnect and begin planning for the months ahead.

This past week, Marian students, faculty, and staff gathered for the first All-School Mass of the year, celebrated by our new chaplain, Fr. Karl Finkbeiner.
