Marian Forensics Earns Eight Top-Six Finishes at League Tournament

This past Saturday, the Marian Forensics Team competed in the third official Detroit Catholic Forensic League tournament of the season with great success. Congratulations to Gina Azar '27, Maggie Buckles '29, the duo team of Mary Frangie '27 and Melanie Frangie '27, Madelyn Hasani '28, Molly Rudnick '27, Zellie Sarafa '28, Giselle Sesi '26, and Piper Truza '29 for their performances in the categories of Dramatic Performance, Duo Interpretation of Literature, Extemporaneous Speaking, Oral Interpretation of Literature, and Oratorical Declamation. We are excited that all eight Marian entries earned top-six ribbons! In total, the team scored three first-place ribbons, three second-place ribbons, and two fourth-place ribbons.

Declamation:

  • Zellie Sarafa, 1st place
  • Maggie Buckles, 2nd place

Extemporaneous Speaking:

  • Molly Rudnick, 2nd place
  • Madelyn Hasani, 4th place

Dramatic Performance:

  • Giselle Sesi, 1st place
  • Piper Truza, 2nd place

Oral Interpretation:

  • Gina Azar, 4th place

Duo Interpretation:

  • Mary Frangie & Melanie Frangie, 1st place

Katie Pietrosante ’26 Honored with Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award

Katie Pietrosante ’26, has been named a recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award. The Piety Hill Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution honored Pietrosante and other local high school students at an event held on January 13 at the Bloomfield Township Public Library.
