Marian Rice Mech Warriors Win Prestigious FIRST Impact Award in Historic First for Team
The Marian Rice Mech Warriors FIRST Robotics Team have won the FIRST Impact Award for the first time in team history! The team kicked off their 25th competition season at Kettering University, where they ranked 7th out of 40 after 12 qualification matches and became the 5th alliance captain, making it to Match 10 in the double elimination bracket.
The FIRST Impact Award is the most prestigious honor in FIRST, recognizing the team that best exemplifies a model for others to follow and embodies the mission of FIRST. This award was established to keep the focus of the FIRST Robotics Competition on its ultimate goal: transforming culture by inspiring greater respect for science and technology while encouraging more young people to become future leaders in these fields.
