Marian Student Leaders Gather for Leadership Day

Marian Student Leaders Gather for Leadership Day

Marian student leaders gathered on Sept. 8 for the school’s annual Leadership Day, a day focused on building leadership skills and putting them into practice.

The day brought together students serving in leadership roles across Marian, including Student Government and House Council members, club officers, and team captains.

Alumna Jenna McKay ’21 kicked off the day with remarks on what it means to lead, encouraging students to consider their own leadership styles and the impact they can have on those around them. Throughout the day, students participated in group discussions and activities exploring leadership, teamwork, relationships, decision-making, and the importance of knowing and valuing others.

The day also connected leadership to Marian’s 2026–27 theme, “Loved Beyond Measure, Known by Name,” and included All-School Mass at St. Regis. Students were reminded that leadership extends beyond holding a title and can be found in the way we treat others, the choices we make, and the example we set each day.

Leadership Day concluded with students putting their ideas into action by developing proposals to strengthen their teams, clubs, and school.
