Marian's Life Club Hosts Baby Shower to Support Mary’s Mantle
Marian’s LIFE Club recently hosted a baby shower to benefit Mary’s Mantle, a local organization that supports pregnant women and new mothers in need.
Students donated essential items including diapers, wipes, clothing, and other baby necessities, helping provide care and comfort for moms and their babies. Mary’s Mantle Executive Director Katie Montes also visited Marian, sharing more about the organization’s mission and how through services such as case management, parenting education, transportation, and emotional and spiritual support, it empowers women to build strong, stable futures.
Short for Life Is For Everyone, LIFE is a Marian club committed to understanding, living, and promoting a consistent ethic of life. Through education, service, and advocacy, members explore meaningful ways to uphold the dignity of every human life. The service project benefiting Mary's Mantle reflects LIFE members' deep commitment to compassion, service, and supporting life at every stage. Thank you to LIFE moderator, Mary Murray, for overseeing this meaningful project!

Marian’s first all-school assembly helped set the tone for a new year. To kick things off, sophomores, juniors, and seniors lined the main corridor to clap in the freshman class before heading into the auditorium. It was a sea of color with students wearing bright T-shirts representing one of Marian’s six Houses: Crown, Shield, Mary, Cross, Dove, and Flame.

One of Marian’s most special traditions officially began for the Class of 2030 this week as freshmen met their Big Sisters for the first time.

A Marian senior tradition brought a burst of color and lots of creativity to campus as members of the Class of 2027 gathered to paint their parking spots.

For Marian seniors, football season starts long before game day. The Class of 2027 has taken to the field for summer practices, preparing for one of Marian’s longstanding traditions – Senior Football.

Marian High School joins the IHM Sisters in celebrating two women with special connections to Marian who are marking milestone Jubilees this year: Sister Lenore Pochelski, IHM, celebrating 60 years as a religious, and Sister Maxine Kollasch, IHM, celebrating 25 years.
For the IHM Sisters, Jubilees are a time to honor Sisters marking milestone anniversaries of religious life. This year, 20 IHM Sisters representing a combined 1,011 years of ministry were honored during a weekend of Jubilee festivities, including a special liturgy on Saturday, July 25.

Though his five years at Marian represent only a small chapter in a remarkable 48-year career, they are years he remembers fondly because of the students and colleagues who made Marian feel like home.

Twelve members of Marian's Forensics Team traveled to Washington, D.C. over Memorial Day weekend to compete at the 2026 National Catholic Forensic League (NCFL) Grand National Tournament, one of the nation's largest and most competitive speech and performance events.
