Congratulations to Our December Students of the Month!
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department Student of the Month Program recognizes students who exemplify outstanding characteristics both as a student and as a citizen of the Marian community. Marian Students of the Month are able to handle many different aspects of student life while maintaining excellence within the classroom, showing great effort, good attendance, and excellent character through compassion, honesty, trustworthiness, optimism, and responsibility. Each month, one student from each grade is nominated by Marian faculty or staff for student of the month. Students will receive a certificate and a student of the month bumper sticker and have an opportunity to win a prize courtesy of the Detroit Pistons and/or Emagine Entertainment, a personalized card from their teachers and Marian staff members as well as recognition in the MHUB.
For the month of December, we proudly recognize the following students:

Marian's final Formation Day of the school year was filled with House spirit as students gathered for one last afternoon of games, challenges, and friendly competition before the House Cup winner was announced.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, the Marian community took time to recognize and celebrate faculty and staff members marking milestone anniversaries at the school this year. Honorees were recognized during Marian’s final all-school Mass of the year in gratitude for their years of dedication, service, and commitment to Marian students.

The Marian & Brother Rice robotics team, the Mech Warriors, wrapped up another impressive season with its third trip to the World Championship in the past five years. Competing against 74 teams in its division, the Mech Warriors finished with a 7-3-0 record and ranked 17th overall.

On Thursday, Marian held Candlelight, a beloved tradition that marks the passing of leadership from the senior class to the junior class and celebrates the enduring bond of Marian sisterhood. Centered on the theme from Matthew 5:16, “Your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father,” the ceremony called students to lead with faith, compassion, and courage.
