Credit Requirements
A minimum of 24.50 credits is required for graduation.

Classes
A typical schedule consists of 7 classes that meet daily. The average class size is 20 students.

Honors and AP Courses

Marian challenges highly motivated and academically talented students by offering 22 honors and 16 Advanced Placement courses.

Distinguished Faculty
40 faculty members teach at Marian; over 68 percent have earned graduate degrees. Student-to-faculty ratio is 20:1.

Marian High School, an IHM-sponsored school, is fully accredited by NCA CASI, an accrediting division of AdvancED.

Marian is a Catholic college preparatory school for young women, sponsored by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The mission of Marian High School is to ensure within a Christian environment, an excellent education built on a strong academic curriculum, which will enable young women to value human diversity and live responsible lives of leadership and action based on gospel values.

IHM Core Educational Beliefs

The leadership of each IHM-sponsored educational institution assumes responsibility for ensuring that the stated mission, vision and values are the lived values of the institution and partners with IHM to ensure excellence in education and personal and social transformation by living into the following core educational beliefs: 
  • A commitment to the liberating mission of Jesus with a special focus on those who are poor, abandoned, or oppressed.

The Marian Crest
The symbols contained in the Marian Crest each depict an important aspect of the Catholic Christian tradition. The crest represents the school’s commitment to instilling these values in her students.

The Crown
The crown symbolizes that members of the Marian community are builders of the kingdom, destined for leadership.

The Shield
The shield reflects strength that comes from a deep faith and Christian ideals.

The Marian “M”
The Marian “M” stands for Mary and her unconditional faith in God which serves as a model for all women.

The Cross
The cross is what must be carried in order to live the Christian mandate to love one another.

The Dove
The dove is a reminder to strive for peace and harmony.

The Flame
The flame represents wisdom, essential to learning.
