Instructions for Students Seeking Transfer Enrollment in the Classes of 2021 and 2022: Please contact the Office of Admission as soon as possible at (248) 502-3033. The Office of Admission is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Instructions for Students Entering 8th Grade, Seeking Enrollment in the Class of 2023:
  • Request an ADMISSION PACKAGE containing this year's viewbook and application materials.
  • See the "Be Our Guest" page for opportunities to attend upcoming admission events at Marian.
  • Schedule a SHADOW VISIT at Marian to see how it “feels” to be a Marian student. Contact the Office of Admission by phone at 248-502-3033, or register online by clicking the "Inquiry" button.
  • Take the HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT). It is highly recommended that students test on the first available test date, Saturday, November 17, 2018. Test registration will be available online beginning in September at: Students who test later than the December date may miss opportunties to apply for scholarships and tuition assistance.
  • Complete an ADMISSION APPLICATION, choosing from one of the following two options, and submit it by Novembr 30 to be considered an on-time applicant*. Please use the paper application, unless you currently attend a Catholic elementary school and that school prefers that you use the online application:
    • Paper Application 
      • Fill out and submit the paper application.
      • Have your parent sign and submit the Student Profile Release and Form to your current school, to be returned to Marian with the following items by the application deadline:
        • 6th and 7th grade standardized test results
        • 7th and 8th grade report cards
    • Online Application (Choose this option if your current school prefers that you use it, and ask them for the email address of the person at your school responsible for completing electronic Teacher Recommendation Requests and Requests for Academic Information):
      • Complete the online application: Metro Detroit Catholic High School Freshman Application. Make sure to complete ALL of the following components of the electronic application, you will be required to log-in more than once to complete these tasks:
        • Complete the Application Form
        • Complete the Student Application Form
        • Submit an electronic Teacher Request Form to your current school using the electronic system
        • Submit a Request for Academic Information to your current school using the electronic system. The required academic information is:
          • 6th and 7th grade standardized test results
          • 7th and 8th grade report cards
      • Complete Marian's supplemental essay question in your own handwriting and submit via mail/email/fax/upload.


On-time applicants: Students submitting a complete application by November 30 AND testing on either November 17 or December 1 will be considered on-time applicants and will receive decision letters mailed on the 4th Friday in January. These accepted students will be invited to register in February, and will have the opportunity to apply for scholarships and tuition assistance prior to the March deadlines for these items.

Late applicants: Students testing later than December 1 will be considered late applicants. Due to the processing time required for test score release, application review, acceptance and registration, late applicants may miss opportunities to apply for scholarships and tuition assistance, which carry March deadlines.
Instructions for 9th and 10th Grade Transfer Applicants:
  • Complete the paper application provided in your viewbook package and submit it to Marian.
  • Submit copies of grades and standardized test scores from current, plus two previous years.
  • Schedule a shadow visit. Register by phone or on our website.
  • Interview with the Admission Committee.
