  • Participate in STEM Night

The goal of Marian High School’s STEM initiative is to give its students opportunities to participate in programs designed to increase their interest, confidence, and awareness of educational and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Marian’s STEM initiative for the 2019-2020 school year includes a STEM Week, STEM Career Night, Lunch with STEM Professionals, and an expansion of STEM Club activities.

The 2019 STEM Week will take place during the third week in October with Career Night scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Alumnae, parents, and friends of Marian who are professionals in STEM fields are invited to participate in Career Night by discussing their education and careers with Marian students. Presenters will have tables in Marian’s gym.

Alumnae and parents are also invited to make short informal presentations on STEM topics to students during Lunch with a STEM Professional. This is an opportunity for students to talk one-on-one with a professional during lunch at school.

Through the STEM Club, Marian plans to increase the number of guest speakers and field trips for students throughout the year.

Alumnae, parents, and friends who are interested in participating in Marian STEM activities should contact Stephanie McRoberts, math teacher and STEM coordinator, at
