Brand Kit

Marian High School: Strong Women of Mind and Heart

Our brand is the core of who we are and everything we do to fulfill our school's mission: to ensure within a Christian environment, an excellent education built on a strong academic curriculum, which will enable young women to value human diversity and live responsible lives of leadership and action based on gospel values.

Wherever Marian is present, our brand is at work telling the story of who we are. This toolkit serves to help Marian representatives understand how to position our brand in a way that helps drive recognition and support for Marian within our school and greater community.

Official Marks

A clear and consistent visual identity helps build greater recognition for and awareness of our school. The most important element of our visual identity is our School Mark, which is made up of our crest and logotype.

Marian Crest

Crest

Each symbol within the Marian Crest holds deep meaning (outlined below under "Crest Elements"), reflecting essential elements of our Catholic faith and underscoring our mission to instill these values within our students. The Marian Crest acts as our official stamp, used for official academic, co-curricular, and administrative purposes.

Logotype

The name of our school is represented by a text treatment called a logotype, and is one of the core components of our school's mark. Our custom-drawn logotype is a clear and strong expression of our name.

School Mark

Our School (or academic) mark consists of our shield and logotype, serving as Marian's official institutional logo. This mark represents the School as a whole and is used to identify all forms of communication, including our website, printed materials, presentations, social media platforms, and signage. The school mark is also available in a secondary stacked format.

tagline

Tag Line

Marian's tag line utilizes secondary and tertiary colors along with our branded Shining Stars symbol to convey the spirit of our community comprised of 'Strong Women of Mind and Heart'. This stamped design is also available in 1-color Mustang Blue or 1-color white for special use-cases. Preferred usage is the above primary design against Mustang Blue. The Tag Line is used as a closing screen on videos, or on the back of printed materials.

Signature

Our signature combines our School mark and tag line. Like the School mark, our signature is available in a secondary stacked format. While the crest, logotype, or School mark take primary placement in a design, the signature is often used within the footer of an email or website, or on the back of a brochure. Alternatively, the Tag line may appear centered on the back of printed materials, with the School mark centered along the bottom of the page along with address, phone, website, and social media handle.

Athletic Mark

Marian's official logo represents our school's mascot, the Mustang. The logo is reserved for Marian Athletics.

School Seal

Marian's Seal is steeped in tradition and represents our school community at the highest level. It is reserved for ceremonial honors, such as on the diploma.

Typography

Our brand fonts are another key component to visually aligning your designs and communications with the Marian brand.

Headline:

Montserrat (Black)

Details of use: Headlines with the spliced, offset thin outline treatment should be used sparingly and with caution; however, utilizing this treatment is a staple-piece of the Marian brand and usage is encouraged. This treatment provides an opportunity for utilizing secondary and tertiary color combinations (color combinations are not limited to the above examples). Typically, headlines appear in all-caps.
