Marian Mission Trips

Each year, Marian offers international mission trips for juniors and seniors during the school’s February vacation.  Campus ministry and theology teachers organize the trips to Guatemala and Nicaragua through International Samaritan.
After the application process, students meet with the faculty, staff, and/or parents who will accompany them to plan and prepare for the trips.  They spend a week ministering to the people of Central America, visiting families, helping at local schools, and completing projects needed by the communities.  At the end of each day, students and group leaders discuss, pray, and reflect on their experiences.  These mission trips are successful not only for the Central American people, but even more so for the Marian students who learn the value of faith, joy, and sacrifice.

Marian also offers a domestic mission trip in June to Emmaus Farm in Vanceburg, Kentucky. Students spend a week serving the residents of Lewis County, KY, while living a life of simplicity and prayer at “the farm”. The trip is open to a small group of sophomores who do not plan to attend the international mission trip.
