At Marian, parents are considered to be the most important partners in the education of our students. With that in mind, Marian communicates regularly with families through monthly newsletters, eblasts and emails, PowerSchool (the school website), and scheduled meetings with faculty and guidance counselors. Parent knowledge of assignments, test dates, and course requirements can serve as an impetus for discussion about a student’s progress, successes, or concerns.
Marian also believes that it is important for parents to be involved in the lives of their daughters by being involved in the life of the school. The Mothers’ Club, Dads’ Club, and Marian Athletic Club each offer a variety of opportunities for parent involvement. Parents can share their time and talents with their daughters and with the Marian community in many ways, including volunteering, social groups and networking, service and philanthropy, and Christian reflection, among others.
