Marian High School has multiple opportunities to create lasting tributes to honor family and friends.  The commemorative and recognition opportunities below offer the chance to remember someone important and make a difference for the young women who attend our school.

List of 4 items.

  • Memorials and Honoraria

Members of the Marian family can remember their loved ones and friends with a gift to the Memorial and Honorarium Program.

    How the program works
This program specifically memorializes those who have died by remembering them at all liturgies celebrated at Marian, including the annual Memorial Mass in November.  The program also honors individuals on special occasions, such as birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and holidays.  The names of those who are memorialized and honored are inscribed on our tribute wall located just outside of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel.

Gifts to the Memorial and Honorarium Program become part of the Endowment Fund, and the tax-deductible contribution is acknowledged to the donor.  A memorial card is sent to the family of the individual in whose memory the donation was made, or a card acknowledging the gift is sent to the honoree.

If you would like more information about this program, or if you wish to receive a memorial and honorarium packet, please contact the Office for Advancement at (248) 644-1946.

  • Endowed Scholarships

Marian offers benefactors opportunities which will provide scholarship funding to deserving Marian students while honoring family members or friends.  All gifts for endowed scholarship are invested permanently; only earnings from the gifts are used for scholarship awards.

    Individually Named Scholarships
For a gift of at least $50,000, Marian will establish an individually named scholarship.  An individually named scholarship allows the initiator of the scholarship to participate in establishing the scholarship’s name, the award criteria, and the award selection process.

    General Scholarships
For a gift of at least $10,000, Marian will establish a general scholarship (typically for incoming freshmen) named according to the donor’s wishes.

Marian is grateful to those who have established scholarships in honor of or in memory of individuals close to the Marian community.  For information on establishing a new Marian scholarship or making a gift to the Scholarship Fund, contact Lorry Ashe Kempf, Assistant Head for Advancement, at (248) 644-1946.
  • Recognition Opportunities

Private support is essential in keeping Marian High School within reach of those young women who seek to deepen their faith, achieve academic excellence, and serve others in need.  With that in mind, Marian offers these recognition opportunities for these new and recently renovated school areas. These gifts can be made by individuals, families, trusts, corporations, etc. For more information, contact Lorry Ashe Kempf, Assistant Head for Advancement, at (248) 644-1946.
