Marian Celebrates IHM Founders’ Day

Marian celebrated Founders’ Day for the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Congregation, Tuesday, November 10.

The IHM Sisters sponsor Marian High School, and their Core Educational Beliefs are an important part of our school's identity. Each year we join the Sisters in recognizing their founders, Louis Florent Gillet and Theresa Maxis, who established the congregation on November 10, 1845 in Monroe, Michigan. To mark the occasion, we started the day with a special prayer, Marian's All-school Board (ASB) presented both the IHM Sisters in Monroe and our very own Sister Lenore Pochelski with flower arrangements, distributed a small gift to students, and raised money for the Sisters' outreach projects through our annual IHM Pantry Day fundraiser.

Happy Founders' Day, and thank you for your generosity!
