Marian Hosts First Ever Virtual Fall Open House

This past November, Marian held our first ever Virtual Fall Open House!  The morning started with the delivery of 253 spirit wear bags to prospective students’ homes. The bags included a branded Mustang cookie, a Marian pennant and, depending on the student’s age, either an original Marian t-shirt (designed by our social media/event coordinator and senior students) or a snow hat, all packaged together in a “Marian Strong” bag.  Each bag was personally labeled with the student’s name and future graduation year. The Admission Office mapped out 30 routes for current Marian mom/daughter pairs, who delivered the bags to each recipient that morning. The deliveries spanned all of metro Detroit, from Ann Arbor and Howell to St. Clair Shores.
The Virtual Open House was offered via Zoom at two different times during the day, each featuring a student-led tour of the building and a live Q&A panel discussion. The virtual sessions were attended by the families of more than 190 students, along with an additional 60 students who were unable to attend that day but received the spirit wear bag and an invitation to view the program recording at their convenience.  We look forward to the upcoming registration process and welcoming the next class of young women as they start their journey to becoming Marian Strong!
