Forensics Speech Team to Compete in D.C. for Nationals

Eight members of the Marian Forensics Speech Team who qualified last month for the National Catholic Forensics League (NCFL) Grand National Tournament, will travel to Washington, D.C. this weekend representing their school and the Detroit Catholic Forensic League. The following students will be competing for national honors in various categories: Isabella Duzan ’23, Sarah Gundlach ’24, Hannah Kaczmarek ’24, Molly O’Brien ’24, Ava Olah ’25, Isabella Pongracz ’23, Maggie Scott ’24, and Jennifer Suan ’24.
 
Every year the NCFL sponsors the Grand National Tournament on Memorial weekend offering six forensics events and four debate events. The NCFL was founded in 1951 based upon the ideal of open membership, it welcomes membership to all schools – public and private – in the United States and Canada. One of its missions is to promote curricular and co-curricular speech and debate activities in Catholic, private, and public secondary schools throughout the country.
