Ava Sarafa '23 Among the Top Volleyball Players in the Country to Watch

MaxPreps, one of the premier prep sports news organizations, named Ava Sarafa ’23 to its MaxPreps National Player of the Year watch list. Ava joins 13 other varsity players across the country, who have led their team to an exceptional season thus far. Ava, a setter on the nationally-ranked Mustangs squad, is averaging 10.1 assists per set and has 645 total assists this season. She is approaching 4,500 career assists and is only the 16th player in Michigan prep volleyball history, to pass the 1,400 threshold.
 
Ava is a legacy at Marian. Her mother Sarah Ervin Sarafa is a member of the Class of 1989.  Ava and the Marian volleyball team will be in action again at the Beast of the East tournament on October 15 at the UWM Sports Complex in Pontiac. For match times check the athletic page on marian-hs.org.
