Congratulations Class of 2023!

Diplomas were bestowed on 101 seniors at Marian High School's commencement exercises at St. Hugo of the Hills Church, Bloomfield Hills, on May 18. Valedictorians of the Marian Class of 2023 are Leah Adams (Bloomfield Hills), Colleen Conroy (Birmingham), and Catherine DuBay (Birmingham).
 
Family and friends recognized the accomplishments of the Class of 2023, which include 78 Presidential Educational Excellence awardees and $14,846,257 in college scholarship money earned (as of May 3, 2023).
 
Several seniors were recognized for outstanding achievements in service and character:
  • Woodburn Distinguished Award: Savannah Manjo (West Bloomfield) 
    • Savannah's classmates selected her as the award recipient for emulating Marian High School's mission. This award shows a deep dedication to the mission of Gospel values and leading by example. Savannah was recognized for her sense of responsibility, integrity, and compassion. 
  • Theresa Maxis Duchemin, IHM Award: Amina Thompson (Auburn Hills)
    • Amina received the award for superior service to the underprivileged, awarded by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which sponsors Marian. She was recognized for her spirit of service, commitment to the poor, and courage to respond to cultural realities and global issues.
  • Mothers' Club Excellence Award: Mackenzie Jackson (Southfield)
    • The Mothers' Club selected Mackenzie for demonstrating the core values of the organization, which include service to all aspects of the school – spiritual, social, and academic.  
  • George DuFour Scholar Athlete: Lucy Kinna (Bloomfield Hills)
    • Lucy distinguished herself in multiple sports at Marian in the spirit of the beloved former staff member, George DuFour. She was a two-sport varsity standout that won a state championship and was named All-District in soccer and Academic All-State in field hockey while maintaining first honors. 
  • Distinguished Alumna of Tomorrow: Anna Beck (Bloomfield Hills)
    • The Alumnae Board selected Anna for distinguishing herself and Marian through her academics, leadership, and service to the school.
