Marian Senior Named Miss Golf

Marian High School Senior Shannon Kennedy was named Miss Golf 2020 by the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association. Shannon is the daughter of Lyn Kennedy of Birmingham and Ted Kennedy of Beverly Hills. This award is given to the top golfer in the State of Michigan. She is the first Miss Golf from Marian and was recognized at a ceremony on November 4 where she received a trophy that will be on display at Marian for the next year.
Shannon has also earned All-state honors for all four years on the golf team, and has been a Dream Team honoree for the last two years. While at Marian, she won individual state titles three times and lead the Mustangs to state titles for 2019 and 2020.
 
Athletic Director Dave Feldman said, “Shannon has worked extremely hard at her game and this is a great honor for her. Shannon’s passion for golf and dedication to her team make her a true ambassador of “Marian Strong.”
 
Marian also boasts athletes who were Miss Basketball in 1988, Miss Soccer in 2004, 2018, and 2019, Miss Volleyball in 2009. Miss Ski in 2013 and 2019, and Miss Dance in 2008.
